For people to reach their full potential, wholeness of treatment includes
instituting a physical regimen for them to follow on a daily basis.
The first thing that we recommend to anyone starting an exercise regimen is
walking. This activity is used as a wonderful form of cardiovascular
exercise along with fat reduction. Walking is the least invasive on the
knees and other joints outside of swimming, however walking is much more
practical for a large number of people. The most conducive time to go for
a walk is first thing after you wake up. Doing any activity at this time,
particularly going for a walk, is the optimal way to set your physical
metabolism on the right track for the rest of the day. You are coming off
of a good nights rest where you have taken in, hopefully, no carbohydrates.
The benefit here is that your body does not have to worry about burning
carbohydrates first because the storage is depleted and you can get straight to
fat burning. So preferably do not eat anything before your walk, just go
on an empty stomach and look forward to a healthy, satisfying breakfast when you
are finished.
